The Phoenix Reborn
The first local militia group
formed, and the first inducted into the AADF, the Phoenix Reborn are a
dedicated group, loyal to Arixo and its government, almost to a fault.
They protect against any physical aggression directed towards the capital
buildings and the Arixo Airworks factory, though attacks are fairly rare.
Usually they spend their time patrolling the nearby flight corridors. However,
the Phoenix area sees less conflict than most other parts of Arixo, so
they rarely run into trouble. Sometimes they purposefully stray off course,
in hopes of finding some action, but with little success. Despite their
relative inactivity, they are still the most heavily backed squadron, much
to the frustration of other units. They currently field twenty planes,
more than any other squadron. The Reborn recently received the military
zeppelin Scorpion's Sting, the only such zeppelin in Arixo. This
did not make them any friends amongst other AADF pilots.
Being the official protectors
of the government, the Reborn patriotically paint their planes in the colors
of the Arixo flag. Purple is the base, orange is used for the leading edges
of wings and highlights, and vermilion for the flaps.
Even though they don't often
get to engage in active combat, the Reborn keep themselves well trained
and in top-notch condition. If Arixo ever goes on the offensive, the Reborn
would be at the vanguard.
