William and Colt
Equalizer 420

Recently appearing against Arixo forces along the Texas border, the Equalizer 420 is reported to be the newest plane produced by William and Colt Aviation. This compact, agile craft is designed for dog-fighting, capable of withstanding fairly high-Gs. It mounts a high-quality Barret Arms .60-caliber cannon through the propeller spinner, allowing for accurate, rapid shots. This is backed-up by two Westmore "Dragon" .30-caliber machine guns in the wings. The engine itself was placed behind the cockpit, giving it a bit more protection in a head-on attack. However, the propeller's drive shaft takes up a fair amount of space, leading to a cramped cockpit, as well as a noisy ride. The larger fuel tanks, giving it greater range, don't help either. The Equalizer carries 720 lbs of armor, giving it good protection for its size.
It is unknown at this point just how many of these have been produced, but given its high cost, especially of the main weapon, there are likely few. If William and Colt ever decides to go with a cheaper gun, the Equalizer could easily become a common sight for Texas foes.
