Hughes Aviation Comet
"Speediest thing I seen in the air since that crow got into my ma's chile."
-Jorge "Gnat" Morales, Tucson Broncos

An increasingly common plane in Arixo skies, the Comet from Hughes Aviation is regarded as one of the fastest planes currently in widespread use, easily capable of speeds in excess of 350 mph. The Comet was designed as a courier from the get-go, intended to get small parcels and mail from point A to point B in as little time as possible. They aren't meant for dog-fights, though, having a very poor turn rate and only two .40-caliber machine guns as weapons. The Comet relies on its speed to get away from any conflict, and some pretty heavy armor for its size should anyone surprise it. It has remarkable range, since its wings are almost filled with fuel tanks, but a low flight ceiling because the wingspan itself isn't very wide. Many groups downgrade or remove the 40-cals for extra storage space or armor, relying on skilled pilots to avoid confrontations.
The Comet is used by many shipping companies, primarily the Airborne Pony Express. Hollywood itself often uses them to ship their newest film reels around North America.
