The Tucson Broncos
The Tuscon Broncos were first
founded in 1933, to help protect the fledgling Arixo Manufacturing plant,
the only major industrial facility in Arixo at the time. They were quickly
absorbed into the AADF, and were given high priority for new planes and
parts. They currently field 18 planes of various makes.
Tuscon is frequently pestered
by Mexico and a few pirate groups, but the Broncos hold their own. Few
attacks have ever caused much damage. The Broncos are also called upon
for any major escort duty when AM products are shipped out by zeppelin.
The paint scheme for the Broncos
is a basic brown, with a stylized black horse's mane around the cockpit.
Silver edging along the wings completes the look.
Uniquely in the AADF, the Broncos
frequently rotate their leader, each pilot potentially getting the chance
to be the captain of the force. The idea is to increase all skills among
the group, in case the current leader becomes incapicitated somehow. Also,
if Arixo ever plans an offensive campaign, they'll have a ready store of
commanders. The current captain of the Broncos is Tom "Warbler" Harrington.
